What day is it? Yes, Frinally (= Friday-finally)... of course, it's Friday, yay!

 

Everybody loves Friday, right? How about you?

 

WARM-UP questions:

...just think it over...

- Why do we adore Friday?

- Why do YOU like it?

- What is so good in it?

- Why is Friday the last workday?

 

#4 tips for vocabulary practice:

01 - Let's play a little game, called WORD LADDER, with this word: FRIDAY. --> Collect words that come to your mind about Friday; climb up the ladder.

FRIDAY

 

02 - Another word game: WORD CHAIN. Continue the line with the last letter: Friday-yes-seven-... (write 10 more words)

03 - Pictionary. Draw words related to Friday. (people, watch tv, dance, smile, etc.)

04 - Learn with music.

Here, I would like to suggest a well-known song to revise the days of the week and to pick up some new expressions. Friday I'm in love (lyrics video) by The Cure.

  

Tasks for vocabulary practice

a. Listen to the song without the lyrics

b. Watch the video with the lyrics

c. Collect words that are related to the days of the week

(for example: Monday is blue;...)

d. Collect rhyming words from the lyrics

(for example: blue - too; apart-heart)

e. Enjoy listening to the song one more time with and without looking at the text
